Public relation of ICT ministry – Eng. Ali Hakim Javadi, the minister deputy and the head of Information Technology organization in the inauguration ceremony of Bills E-payment System which held in Qom, stated that: we witness a great spring in ICT according to what has been planned by the 10th government.
He with pointing the projects which are going to be implemented in Qom province added that: Qom has the necessary potential for operating IT projects because of having available substructures in telecommunication. He mentioned that Qom has 7 ready to open IT projects and said: these projects implement with support of ICT ministry for developing electronic services and creating electronic government.
He asserted that: enforcing and implementing Qom Information Data Center (IDC) is one of the projects which is now in operating phase and will be ready to use up to the end of this current year.
The head of Information Technology organization continued: Smart National ID Card as a pilot for 1 million people, electronic Health project with cooperation of Qom Medical University and also Tollab and Jame’e Almostafa’s Professors Smart Card are the other projects that will be implemented in the future.
Ali Hakim Javadi remarked that Qom Ethernet Metro Project is one of these projects and declared that completing these projects, is considered as a great spring in National Data Network implementation.
He stated that Qom with completing these projects and giving new services in this network will be considered as one of the leaders in providing e-services. He also said that we hope to witness IT flourish around the country and emphasized that Qom with considering its potential in content producing, will act as a reference in the country.
Based on this report, also in this ceremony Qom governor with emphasizing the necessity of paying especial attention to Developing Information Technology said that: with the new equipments in technology and their use, ICT is certainly considered as an inseparable part in developed and modern societies and devote itself large spectrum of the needs.
With considering the available substructures and also high index of literacy in Qom province, a committee has been established there for developing Information Technology and electronic services.
Qom Bills E-payment System has got ready and launched with cooperation and support of Information Technology Organization as ICT ministry’s agent in order to develop electronic government and using Information Technology for serving people.
In the first phase of this project, the data of Water and Waste Water, Electricity, Gas and Telecommunication companies will be centralized and accumulated in this system and all Qom residents can join the system by creating an account in it and pay their bills via it.
It is necessary to mention that Information Technology Organization has devoted about more than 9.5 million dollars from the governmental plans credits to Qom province for developing E-services.
