Eng. Saeed Mahdiyoun, the CEO of Information Technology Organization in an interview with public relation of ICT ministry said that last month, the committee for transition to the 6th version of the internet protocol was established.
Codifying the guideline document, road map, plans and responsibilities matrix for transition to IPV6 are some of the goals for the establishment of this committee, He added.
The CEO of Information Technology asserted that: before this in the last November, am especial team included experts and managers from governmental offices, private sections and universities have been gathered.
He with pointing at activities of this team, declared: studying the probing and enforcement of applying the transition scenarios in laboratory level, probing IPV6 standards for providing equipments, collaboration with companies which provide internet services for accomplishing transition mechanism and also negotiating with universities to enforce this transition operations in Iran scientific networks, are the other activities this team has done.
Eng. Mahdiyoun continued: otherwise and in order to clarify the urgency of this transition as a national job, a 1 day seminar will hold with the attendance of experts and activists in this zone by Information Technology organization.
He with saying that this seminar hold on July 11, 2011 emphasized: giving information about what have done before and future plans in this zone, defining the necessity for cooperation and collaboration between relevant organizations that provide internet for people and also paving the way to promote national knowledge level about IPV6, are such goals will be derived from this one-day seminar.
