PR of the Ministry of ICT – Lotfollah Saboohi, deputy of technical reviews and licenses issuance in CRA said:" The rules and regulations for domestic roaming are being developed between mobile operators now".
"The virtual mobile phone operators can be defined after finalizing these regulations", he added.
He pointed to the activity situation of these operators and emphasized: "these operators will be able to contract with the existing operators to provide virtual services in this area if the plan be finalized".
Lotfollah Saboohi said that this plan has been implemented in many countries around the world and continued: "the interests of all consumers and service providers will be provided by developing the regulations as well as cooperation between the operators".
"If these operators activate, the competitive atmosphere will be created over the past as well as the possibility of greater activity of private sector in this section", he continued.
Deputy of Technical Reviews and Licenses Issuance in CRA asserted:" this operator will work like other mobile operators in the country and of course by using the existing operator's network".
He emphasized:" Accordingly, the virtual operators will use the spaces that are useless for the existing operators and they can also earn money from these spaces".
Lotfollah Saboohi said: "The project is in the earlier stages and we are trying to finalize that as soon as possible so it will be notified after approving by CRA Commission".
