Minister of ICT: Post is an evolutionary loop for providing e-services

Post as a complementary and evolutionary loop will accomplish the chain of e-services in the country.


PR of the Ministry of ICT – Dr. Reza Taghipour in the first operator licensing ceremony was held by President attendance said: providing e-services needs four main stages including: information, interaction, transaction and is evolution.
"The fourth step is still doing by Post Co. and it can provide the chain of services more than before by developing this area and offering variety of services", he added.
Minister of ICT pointed that today is a turning point in Islamic Republic history and added that Post Co. should prepare itself to step on to the competitive arena by developing the services quality.
"The activists in this area should be prepared to step on to the competitive arena seriously in order to offer services to people with less cost and more efficient by the evolved program which has been provided by the managers", he continued.
Dr. Reza Taghipour pointed to the control system designed in the ministry of ICT and said: "It can be claimed that the government's control system on telecom area is unique in the country".
He asserted: "Despite the volume of communication activities is developing day to day but it's possible to monitor different parts such as the cost by the mechanisms provided in the ministry of ICT".
According to the report, Dr. Mohammad Karampour, head of CRA in this ceremony said the first postal operator license is granted in the new competitive environment and market available to all operators by the government.
Nowadays, communication regulatory is existent in 163 countries so all beneficiaries such as people, government and operators have benefited by transparency, justice and fairness in all parts which has this system.
Vice Minister said that our society is a converging network society which has become moving and added that Post is the last connecting rings that connects the final user to the community physically.
"The practical result of such society is creating public welfare that is formed by the government", he continued.
He asserted: "Now, all loops of e-government such as ICT infrastructure and letter mailing has been provided, so Post Co. serves as the final loop in this area by the competitive environment that has been shaped and the policies of Article 44".
Dr. Mohammad Karampour pointed to the formation of CRA in the country and said: "Now, CRA Commission serves as the main legislator in this area and CRA organization acts as an executive arm of the Commission in different section such as operator's performance monitoring for all partners to achieve their goals".
He referred that this commission has already more than 100 sessions and pointed: it has been issued more than two thousand and 900 licenses only in the field of radio frequency spectrum.
"CRA is responsible for legislating to organize ICT sector and we hope the share of ICT area in GDP gets to about five percent till 1404 (solar year) by the president assistance", he continued.
According to the report, Dr. Mohebian Araghi, CEO of Post Co. by providing the performance report of the company said: our society has achieved to 92 percent of saving and also 11 percent of urban and intercity traffic has been dropped due to postal services.
He added: " five major project of Post will be exploited today by President attendance include:" comprehensive services packages"," Postal e-market"," e-mail box "," Financial Post Service "and" Presidential Public Communication Center".
"90 percent of communications between people and organizations and 75 percent of organization's costs will be saved by cooperation of units to do the comprehensive services packages project", he emphasized.
According to the report, the Postal first operator license has been granted to Dr. Mohebian by Dr. Karampour and the World Post Day Stamp has been unveiled by the President and Minister of ICT.
