According to the report of the ICT Ministry’s PR department, this ceremony was held on May 28th in Azerbaijan Embassy in Tehran.
In the ceremony, in presence of various officials from state, public, and military sectors, and ambassadors of other nations, Dr. Vaezi congratulated this day to the government and people of Azerbaijan.
Vaezi expressed his pleasure at the holding of this ceremony in Tehran, saying that: “The existing relation-based closeness and collaboration between the two countries is currently at its most exceptional level of the past 30 years.”
He added that: “No obstacle can hurt this very close and strong relationship.”
He referred to the joint projects of the two countries, saying that: “The implementation of these projects can not only result in expansion of relations in various economic and non-economic levels, it can provide opportunities for cooperation and participation of the private sector, including neighbor provinces and similar economic activities between Iran and Azerbaijan.”
It should be mentioned that the 28th of May 1918, is the anniversary of Azerbaijan’s Independence from the Russian Empire, and it has been named the National Day of Azerbaijan in that country.
