According to ICT Public Relation center, Dr. Mahmoud Vaezi, the Iranian Minister of ICT, highlighted the existing excellent bilateral relations between the two countries, in a meeting with Indonesian Ambassador to Tehran, Mr. Dian Wirengjurit, expressing that: “Considering the arrival of various delegations active in both countries, there exists a very good potential for expanding bilateral relations.”
Dr. Vaezi emphasized during this meeting, that: “Considering the annulation of the sanctions against our country, it seems that good opportunities and conditions exist for expanding cooperation between both countries; and the private sector can highly benefit from such an opportunity.”
The ICT Minister underscored that: “Iran and Indonesia can enjoy mutual cooperation in great many areas because of their cultural and economic backgrounds; and the private sector of both countries has the potential to expand its trade through the support of the executive banks in Iran and Indonesia.”
Dr. Vaezi also added: “Iran and Indonesia are both Muslim countries, and culturally very close to each other and this can surely impact the increase in the volume of economic relations, quite positively.”
The ICT Minister described the types of cooperation between the two countries in various fields and areas, saying: “One of the sectors for cooperation between Iran and Indonesia is communication and information technology, and we expect that in future this relationship will further expand with the help of more significant decisions.”
Dian Wirengjurit, the Ambassador of Indonesia to Iran, also asked for further development of bilateral cooperation with Iran, saying: “With the decisions we are going to take regarding cooperation with Iran, we shall witness progress in various sectors of bilateral collaborations.”
