Mustafayev in Joint Commission’s Preliminary Meeting

Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy and Industry: “Today’s meeting lays the groundwork for holding the Joint Economic Commission in Tehran.”

Shahin Mustafayev, the Azeri Economy and Industry Minister, stated in the preliminary meeting for the 9th Iran-Azerbaijan Joint Economic Commission, that: “Today’s session is going to lay the groundwork for holding the Joint Economic Commission in Tehran by the end of this year.”

Based on ICT’s PR department, the Azerbaijan’s Economy Minister said: “I congratulate the nuclear achievement to Iranian people and Azerbaijan supports this agreement and commends it.”

He expressed: “Azerbaijan believes that Iran’s success is going to have a greatly positive impact on bilateral regional and international relations.”

Mustafayev referred to the words of Dr. Vaezi who had mentioned that Iran never forgets his friends, saying: “Iran and Azerbaijan have been together through thick and thin.”

He stated that: “In the areas of oil, petrochemicals, energy, transportation, investment, knowledge acquisition, especially the dealings of the private sectors of both countries, the existing relations go very deep, and today we intend to have extensive talks in these regards.”

Mustafayev asserted that: “Today’s session is intended to lay the groundwork for holding the Joint Economic Commission in Tehran, and with the grace of God, by the end of this year, we are going to hold the Iran-Azerbaijan Joint Economic Commission.”

He thanked Dr. Vaezi for his invitation and continued: “In the expansion of the existing relations, the presidents of both countries play a great role and the historical and cultural relations of both countries are confirmed by their own leaders.”

Highlighting that there were many topics and subjects for discussion, Mustafayev included that: “The words and the writings of both countries are completely consistent and one of the main areas of cooperation is the topic of energy.”

He emphasized that transport issues are one of the main topics of this session, adding that: “The North and South corridor is a strategic topic and we are quite unified and unanimous in this regard and we shall take the subject of constructing this corridor to the Iranian Minister of Road and Transport.”

The Azeri Economic Minister referred to the presence of a representative from Azerbaijan’s Central Bank, saying: “We are also going to have joint cooperation in the field of insurance.”

He stated that there are 6 Azeri investors present in the delegation, adding: “One of our merchants intends to build a factory in Iran, and Iranian companies in turn are looking forward to establish factories in Azerbaijan.”

Mustafayev concluded that: “We are going to have constant cooperation in the field of drug and medicine production.”
