According to the Ministry’s PR department, Dr. Vaezi addressed the reporters, saying that, “the objective of today’s conference, held at the onset of the new Iranian year named “the year of full cooperation between the administration and the people” was to help the process of participation between the private sector and the administration in the ICT sector, through presentation of all the programs and the scope of the investments to all sections active in the ICT sector in the country.”
The Minister pointed out the private sector’s strong attendance in today’s conference, saying: “The private sector has certain policies for participating in the sector, and in this regard, all those active in the field of ICT in the country shall participate in the program and state their viewpoints.”
He added that: “it is our hope and wish that after today’s conference, through the government’s support of the private sector and the facilities provided for this purpose, we shall be able to achieve our intended objectives.”

Stating that the Iranian search engine called “Yooz” can access 1 Billion Farsi pages, the Minister included that: “Hopefully the managers of this search engine, by strengthening the servers, will create an environment to satisfy the requirements of the users.”

The Minister of ICT expressed his gratitude for the cooperation shown by his fellow Iranians in provision of Identification Data regarding mobile network SIM cards and said that, “our people greatly cooperated, so that the nuisance of anonymous SIM cards can be solved once and for all, with no possibility of SIM card misuse remaining.”
At the conclusion of his address, he also commented on the Instagram network’s disruptions, connecting it to implementation of the Smart Filtering on that network, saying that: “All networks meet some problems and disruptions one time or another, but in this case, the Instagram’s disruption is the result of the implementation of Smart Filtering system on its network; so I have asked my colleagues to see to this and resolve the problem.”
