In a meeting with the members of Parliamentary Commission, Dr. Vaezi stated "the Fifth Five-year Development Plan foresees venturous tasks for the Ministry of ICT and necessary planning is done to fulfill them"
ICT Ministry's PR News Desk reported that Dr.
Vaezi made above statement in a forum with the members of the Industries
Commission of Islamic Parliament and further added that this ministry has to
create necessary infrastructures for fulfillment of the preset objectives.
Referring to promises made at the motion of
confidence session of the Islamic Parliament, he added that extending attention
to private sector and using local potentials were among the plans already
submitted to the Parliament as ICT Ministry's plans.
Stating the Ministry has never sought to function
as an incumbent, he clarified that one of the deputy directorates of the
ministry is charged with a particular task of supporting private sector,
production and research aimed at complete coordination in this sector.
He added "we hope to be able to fulfill the
preset goals in this sector with the help of private sector." Referring to
the expertise of the Industries Commission members of the Islamic Parliament,
the ICT minister said "the active members are well acquainted with the
problems of the sector and their questions and proposals have been helpful."
Admitting that the ministry cannot realize preset
objectives without the support of the Islamic Parliament, he insisted on his
hope to reach big achievement by persistent coordination and empathy between
the government and the parliament.
