The chief of Iran IT Organization: producing 7800 electronic contents in National Education Network

Seventy eight hundred electronic contents have been produced in the format of National Education Network and given to the Ministry of Education for present to applicants.

Ali Hakim Javadi, ICT Minister’s Deputy and the head of the IT Organization said this in an interview with News Unit of the ministry’s Public Relations Center and stated: one of the goals in the 5th Developing Plan is presenting 30 % of the educations in electronic format which for this aim, National Education Network is being launched by this ministry. He by pointing the use of this network in all educating levels in Iran, added: spreading out knowledge and removing the gap in accessibility of people from different levels to science and educational sources and also guaranteeing everybody’s same access are such goals defined for this network. National Education Network will cover three levels including of School, University and Technical Education, he asserted. Deputy of ICT Ministry mentioned that supporting cultural, educational, skill and technical contents are some developments for establishing National Education Network; they will be available for all applicants with using the latest technologies, out of charge. all these efforts are being made in association with the Ministry of Education and in order to develop justice and providing somehow identical conditions for all people in accessing educational facilities. Ali H.Javadi with pointing the success in making Iranian schools smart and using the modern technologies to fulfill the motto “Each house, a classroom” said: now, 50000 schools are linked to the National Information Network and considered as one of Iran most important achievements in education field. Establishing and providing necessary facilities for more than 1600 IT laboratories in Iranian schools with the goal of “Sharing Educational Justice” in the format of Electronic Government Pilot is another achievement. Some of Communication and Information Technology Ministry’s achievements in launching National Information Network and Electronic Education are presented in exhibition of “Information Technology in Education”.
