Parliament votes of confidence appointed Nami as Iran ICT Minister

Members of Islamic Parliament of Iran gave 177 votes in favor of Dr. Hasan Nami as the minister of Communication and Information Technology in its open session held on Tuesday, 26th Feb. 2013.

As Public Relation of ICT Ministry reported, after for and against member speeches, the voting process accomplished and Dr. Mohammad Hasan Nami won the parliament votes of confidence. Based on this report, Nami starts his works as the new ICT Minister with 177 votes in his favor out of a total of 243 cast by the MPs. He named Electronic Services, Information Technology Industry and Electronic Literacy Development and Productivity increase in social, economical and Cultural zones as the most important goals in Iran 5th Development plan. Some of his administrative policies which have set based on 5-year communication strategies are: Making communication infrastructures of National Information Network, Postal Network Capacity Increase, localizing and rising Iran Information Network security and safety level, Developing Obligatory Public Services and Communication and Information Technology services in a challenging atmosphere. Creating and developing National Information Network, developing Communication and Information Infrastructure network, security of production and information transferring atmosphere increase and establishing governmental Post Organization are some of other plans performed by Dr. Nami which acclaimed by parliament members.
