Opening the first provincial Data Center in Khoozestan

Iran first provincial data center starts its works this morning with the fund of 40 milliard Rials in Khoozestan.

Eng. Ali Hakim Javadi, the minister’s deputy and head of Iran Information Technology Organization in an interview with news department of Public Relations of ICT Ministry, stated that nowadays, information not only is recognized as one of an organization funds and resources, but also is considered as a tool for useful management of other funds and resources too. He pointed that information technology is a tool for transferring, using and managing information efficiently in one country and added: accordingly, Information Technology Organization is responsible for creating data centers in all provinces around the country and has started necessary actions. ICT Ministry’s deputy pointed that by implementing this projects, a wide network with a goal of presenting services to the users is created and asserted: based on Iran 5th Development Plan and in order to develop Electronic Services, Communication and Information Technology is responsible for creating and developing Iran National Information Technology and secure and stable domestic data centers. For this, the Information Technology Organization put the task of creating provincial data centers on its agenda for providing necessary conditions for saving information in order to present electronic and online services and balanced development of all provinces in ICT zone, he continued. ICT Minister’s Deputy asserted that: now, according the time schedule assumed, the implementing process of creating data centers are in progress in 18 provinces. The head of Information Technology Organization mentioned about this data centers specifications and emphasized that: all design, installation and start levels are perforemed by Iranian experts and its high electronic and physical security is powered by local technologies too. In necessary to mention again that the first provincial data center will start its work today in Khoozestan.
