Post Bank, a bank as major as Internet

Post Bank, a bank as major as Internet
From the beginning of tenth cabinet, politicians named that "Tenth Cabinet, the first e- government", and they try to expand the available e-services to the people in order to achieve this goal.
Experts believe that the banks have been considered as one of the main goals in this area because a large number of daily trips have been doing in order to get service from these economic institutions.
Accordingly, by considering the evidence, a large movement has been occurred in all national banks for providing e-banking and Internet services to people with the aim of reducing the unnecessary inter and intra urban trips.
Post Bank of Iran as one of the banks in this economic network with over nine thousand and 900 branches, only in the villages, has extensive efforts to provide electronic and internet banking services to its clients and according to the bank authorities statement it has been taken high steps in this regard.
It has been provided electronic and online services in 12 thousand points, including 10 thousand rural ICT offices and 4 thousand urban ICT offices in 31 provinces and these parts will be increased to 29 thousand points very soon so it will be done about 12 million systematic transactions on the system through this wide network.
Officials of Post bank of Iran say that electronic services has been provided only through ATM, Pin pad at the end of 87 (solar year) but by double ambition and double endeavor of experts in this collection services such as Mobile Banking, pos, Internet banking, telephone bank and Internet payment portal have been launched.
Internet payment portal provide services to all Shetab-card holders as well as transferring to the card and receiving the balance of account.
Also, the clients can pay all bills online and through this portal.
But some services will be provided to the clients particularly that include:
Transferring the funds, paying the bills, receiving bank identification code, bank payments as well as receiving the balance of account monthly.
The other services which are provided to the applicants by ATM machines are including: Transferring the funds, receiving the balance of accounts, cash payment and pay the bills.
Post bank clients and holders of Shetab- card can also receive services such as balance of accounts, purchasing and paying the bills by POS.
Post Bank officials announce that the possibility of receiving the balance of account in another bank through telephone bank system is provided only by Post bank.
Receiving the balance of account, transferring the funds between post bank accounts as well as paying the bills are the other services which have been provided by telephone bank system.
But regarding to the current situation and expanding mobile usage and increasing penetration factor of this type of phone it seems that using this technology for providing banking services can play an effective role to achieve the goals of e-government.
According to the officials statement Mobile Banking service is ready to implement and the clients can receive their required services through GPRS and SMS.
Providing e-banking services through mobile (Mobile Payment) will be implemented if the national operators provide the required standards in this area.
However, regarding to expansion of e-services and creating e-government in the country, it seems that offering a wide range of e- banking services by the Post Bank and expanding it's branches in the villages can played an important role to reduce the unneeded inter and intra urban trips in the future.
