Postal letters have been increased from 540 million letters in 1383 to 803 million letters at the end of 1388 (solar year) by materializing of 54 percent of the forth national development plan in economic, social and cultural sectors.
PR of the Ministry of ICT- Deputy of communication and Planning referred to a report on performance of the fourth development plan in post section and pointed: per capita postal letters has been increased from 8 letters in 83 to 11/8 letters at the end of March 88 that we see 54 percent growth in this area.
According to this report, presentation of postal services in urban and rural ICT services offices also have been grown considerably so that it shows 160 percent of the program goals materialization in the urban ICT offices as well as 95 percent in the rural ICT offices.
On the other hand, presentation of Post bank services has had a big leap too, so that we have 134 percent of the program goals materialization in the urban ICT offices and 98 percent in the rural ICT offices.
Also the number of saving accounts has been reached for per thousand persons from 15 numbers in 1383 to 43 numbers at the end of 1388 which has experienced 108 percent of growth.
However, according to this report, the rate of letters and packages transportation by postal HUB have been increased from 7 thousand and 366 thousand ton/km in 1383 to 56 thousands and 198 thousand ton/Km which shows 70/9 percent of the program goals materialization.
It's mentioned that the balance of accounts have been faced a 348 percent of growth and increased from 484 billion Rials in 1383 to six thousand and 963 billion Rials at the end at the end of March 1388.
