Regarding to the achieved foreseeing, mobile penetration rate will be 87 percent at the end of the fifth development plan in Iran.
PR of the Ministry of ICT_ Abd-Khezr Kamrani, deputy of communication and planning said:" Thus it has been predicted that 95 percent of whole population of Iran will be under mobile network coverage at the end of the fifth development plan".
"Increasing 100% coverage of the main roads and railways of the country in the second year as well as 100% coverage of subways in the third year is the other predictions in the fifth development proposed plan," he added.
He pointed that currently fixed line services are given day-to-day all over the country even in all villages of some provinces. And said:" According to the fifth development proposed plan, all villages with up to 100 populations will be benefited by home phone till 2011".
He continued:" Near six thousands rural ICT offices have been predicted in the fifth development plan for developing communication services to the villagers and offering e-government services to them,".
He restated that those offices would be established for all villages with up to 350 populations.
Abd-Khezr Kamrani declared also about the fixed line services that regarding to the achieved predictions in the fifth plan, the average waiting time for getting fixed line services will be decreased to 12 days in 2014".
He expressed:" IT has been predicted also that 20 value added services would be offered to the clients by the related responsible".
"Some of these value added services are broadcasting TV programs, fixed line SMS, e-learning, e-shopping, credit phone and private virtual network," he emphasized.
