Head of ISA: launching Satellite Data Center at the beginning of 2010

PR of the Ministry of ICT – According to the existent plans, Satellite Data Center will be exploited at the beginning of next year, after experimental procedures.
Dr. Mohammad Ali Forghani, Minister's deputy and head of ISA expressed: "Satellite data center will launch for receiving, saving and availability to satellite images for users".
" This project has been defined in ISA for exchanging and associating satellite images and information resources of Remote Sensing Center with the same centers internationally and regionally for easy access to the required satellite data especially in natural disasters", he added.
Dr. Mohammad Ali Forghani by expressing that the project has comprised into two hard and soft ware units and said: "This center is a national data center and all organizations and organs can use its information".
He reminded that the hardware part of that project comprises satellite and spatial data center with the required specifications.
Minister's Deputy also added: "Its software comprises one definable level accession geo-portal with the levels including list and resources of the satellite data center and information system for studying and warning the natural disasters".
Head of ISA restated that according to the existent plans, we hope to exploit this project at the early of 2010 completely, after passing the experimental period.
