Iranian Minister of Communications and Information Technology Mohammad-Javad Azari Jahromi and Tatar President Rustam Nurgaliyevich Minnikhanov discussed expansion of bilateral ties, especially in the field of information technology.
our public relations of ict ministry said that, Meeting on the sidelines of the 13th World Islamic Economic Forum, Jahromi said that establishment of Iran chief consulate office in Tatarstan republic shows the importance Iran attaches to ties with the republic.
He also referred to successful visit of Tatar president to Iran in April and said the two sides agreed to expand communications in all domains, that will serve as a ground for the expansion of relations.
Jahromi said that Iran's accredited universities can admit Tatar students.
The two sides also discussed academic cooperation and increased the number of Iranian students in Kazan federal university
