Vaezi Receives Azerbaijan Republic’s ‘Friendship’ Order
The government of the Republic of Azerbaijan has awarded ‘Dostlug’ (Friendship) Order to Dr. Vaezi, the Iranian Minister of Communication and Information Technology, and the co-chairman of Iran-Azerbaijan’s Joint Economic Commission.

 According to the ICT’s Public Relation report, Ilham Aliyev, President of Azerbaijan Republic, in his meeting with Dr. Vaezi, the Iranian ICT Minister and his accompanying delegation, presented the ‘Friendship’ Order of the Azerbaijan Republic, referring to the expansion of bilateral relations between Iran and Azerbaijan, and expressing his gratitude for the efforts of the Joint Economic Commission; Dr. Vaezi, in his turn, thanked the goodwill and benevolence of the Azeri President.

The Azeri President referred to the commencement of the construction project of the bridge on Aras River in the common border’s zero point, emphasizing on the importance of this bridge, saying: “I’m sure that in no time at all we shall be witnesses to the completion of this project, and not only our two nations, but other countries in the region will also benefit from it advantages.”

Dr. Vaezi, the ICT Minister and the Iranian Chairman of the Joint Economic Commission also referred to the expansion of bilateral relations, and the importance of developing international and bilateral cooperation, expressed optimism that: “We expect these cooperation to continue to grow and expand with the help of Mr. Aliyev’s constructive ideas, and reach a three-way cooperation between Iran, Russia, and Azerbaijan Republic.”
