Iran-Azerbaijan Power Transmission Deal Signed
The cooperation document between I.R. of Iran and Azerbaijan Republic involving a Power Transmission and Distribution deal was signed today in presence of both Presidents by the heads of the Iran-Azerbaijan Joint Economic Commission.

According to the Ministry’s Public Relation Center, following the visit of Ilham Aliyev, the Azeri President to I.R. of Iran, a cooperation document was signed today within the framework of Electrical Power Purchase deal by Dr. Vaezi and Shahin Mustafayev, the Iranian and Azeri heads of the Joint Economic Commission.

In addition to this new deal, another ten cooperation agreements were signed in presence of Iran and Azerbaijan Presidents, aimed at further development and advancement of Tehran-Baku relations.

Ilham Aliyev, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan arrived in Tehran on an official visit, leading a high-ranking political and economic delegation; and was warmly received by Dr. Mahmoud Vaezi in Mehrabad Airport.

Later on, Mr. Aliyev attended an official reception ceremony held in his honor in Sa'dabad Historical-Cultural Complex in Tehran, hosted by the Iranian President.
