The Minister of Information and Communications Technology Seyed Sattar Hashemi inaugurated on Tuesday 131 ICT projects as well as 789 government projects in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province.
In addition to his capacity as
the ICT Minister, Hashemi represented the executive bodies to launch the
projects commemorating the Government Week.
The ICT and government projects
were put into operation with a combined investment of US dollars 10 million and
US dollars 3.3 million respectively at a meeting of the Provincial
Administrative Council attended by senior local officials during his visit to
the western province
The ICT projects aim to develop
rural communications, expand fiber-optic networks, improve network quality and
capacity, increase the resilience of communications infrastructure, and
strengthen mobile coverage across the province.
The government projects included electricity,
water and wastewater, agriculture, roads and urban development, education,
healthcare, housing, municipal and other public-service infrastructure.
