The Minster of Information and Communication Technology Seyed Sattar Hashemi visited the ICT infrastructure damaged during the Israeli-US war of aggression against Iran and was briefed on the reconstruction process.
During his tour of the ICT facilities at the provincial
capital Shiraz, the minister visited two sites that were bombed in the Israeli-US
air raids.
He reviewed the progress of reconstruction and the resumption
of operations, and emphasized accelerating the full restoration of these
centers' capabilities and the continuation of their strategic missions.
In the first part of the trip, Hashemi visited the Martyr
Samad Adlasa Frequency Monitoring Center and was briefed on the center's latest
status and the progress of its service delivery.
Later, he visited the Mechanical Research Institute of the
Iran Space Research Center, during which the head of the institute presented a
report on the damage inflicted on the institute's buildings, laboratories, and
infrastructure during the attacks by the United States and the Zionist regime.
The ICT Minister also visited the institute's lithium-ion
battery production hall, which, despite the damage caused by the war, restarted
immediately in order to fulfill the research center's commitments under
national projects and contracts.
Hashemi expressed appreciation for the efforts of the directors,
researchers, and staff of the two facilities in maintaining service delivery
and preserving the country's specialized capabilities.
He emphasized the need to accelerate the reconstruction of
damaged buildings and facilities, create the conditions necessary for the full
return of personnel, and fully resume the research, technological, and
operational activities of these centers as quickly as possible.
