The Minister of Information and Communication Technology Seyed Sattar Hashemi has called for settlement of the problems faced by the digital businesses in the wake of the Israel-US aggression on Iran.
He made the statement in a meeting with the Minister of
Finance and Economic Affairs Seyed Ali Madanizadeh on Monday, during which they
exchanged views on the solutions to support the country’s ICT ecosystem in the
post-war period.
They stressed compensating for the damage inflicted on digital
businesses and improving the resilience of this sector against communication
disruptions.
The ICT and Finance Ministers also discussed the current
conditions of the country's digital economy and reviewed a set of solutions to
strengthen and support businesses in this area.
Hashemi referred to the negative effects of Internet
disruptions on the activities of innovative platforms and companies.
“Immediate measures must be taken to reduce losses, return
stability to the business environment, and strengthen the sustainability of
communication infrastructure,” he stated.
For his part, the Finance Minister also stressed the increasing
importance of the digital economy in the country's economic growth.
“The support, facilitation, and capacities of the Finance
Ministry will be used to effectively support stakeholders in this field to make
their businesses more stable and predictable,” he said.
“Continued instability in access to digital services disrupts
the activity of businesses and can negatively affect market confidence and
investment flow in this field,” Madanizadeh added.
