The Minister of Information and Communication Technology Seyed Sattar Hashemi said the ICT Ministry has taken whatever measure required to guarantee that online education of the Iranian students is not interrupted.
Hashemi made the statement on Sunday in a meeting with the Minister
of Education Alireza Kazemi to commemorate the Teacher’s Day during which he paid
tribute to the services of the teachers and educators across the country.
“Support for the virtual education infrastructure will continue,”
he added, “All technical and executive capacities will be used to prevent any
interruption in the education process.”
“The Shaad platform is strongly supported,” the ICT Minister
said referring to the Education Ministry’s online education network.
Stressing the significance of the education system in solving
the country's problems, he stated: Supporting the field of education is a
priority of the ICT Ministry.
“Prior to the New Year (March 21), some 100 servers were dedicated
to the Shaad platform. Support for the development of similar infrastructure continues
with seriousness.”
He referring to the services provided on the domestic network
platform and said: A major part of the country's communication services is provided
on this platform, however, assessments are more focused on the Internet.
“The Internet is of particular importance due to people's
daily needs and international interactions. We hope that conditions will be provided
to strengthen sustainable and appropriate access to this service for the
people.”
The ICT Minister presented a plaque of appreciation to the
Education Minister to express his gratitude to the country’s teachers and their
colleagues martyred during the Israel-US imposed war in Minab in southern Iran.
