The Minister of Information and Communication Technology Seyed Sattar Hashemi praised Iranian teachers as "architects of the country’s future", paying tribute in particular to the teachers martyred in the US air raid on a school in southern Iran on February 28.
“The memory of the 26 martyred teachers of the Shajareh Tayebeh
School in Minab, who were martyred in the brutal and ruthless attack by the
aggressive US forces, will never be removed from our minds and hearts.”
He made the statement in message to mark the Teacher’s Day on
Saturday.
The full text of the ICT Minister’s message is as follows:
“I would like to congratulate all the dear, dedicated, and
honorable teachers of Islamic Iran on the occasion of Teacher's Day, a day to
honor the lofty status of those who, with faith and commitment, educate the
future makers of this land. Teachers are the architects of the country's future
and, in both hardship and sweetness, have always been at the forefront of the
scientific and cultural jihad.
In the current situation of the country, where the Iranian
nation has once again faced the brutality and blatant crime of the aggressive
US regime, the memory of the 26 martyred teachers of the Shajareh Tayebeh School
in Minab, who were martyred in the brutal and ruthless attack by the aggressive
US forces, will never be removed from our minds and hearts.
The martyred teachers are a true symbol of the commitment,
sacrifice and resistance of Iranian teachers against oppression and aggression.
Their pure blood and that of innocent students is another proof of the
terrorist nature of the policies of the United States and its allies, and shows
that the enemy will not hesitate to commit any crime to harm the future
generation of Iran.
Nevertheless, their blood will never be wasted. Relying on the
spirit of jihad and with an enhanced motivation, Iranian teachers will take further
steps towards the scientific, educational and cultural excellence of their
students and will show the enemies that Islamic Iran, despite all the pressures
and crimes, is moving forward stronger and more united than ever.
Expressing deep sympathy with the families of the martyred
teachers and students of Minab, the ICT Ministry is ready for any cooperation
and support to develop digital educational infrastructure, educational justice,
and strengthen teachers' access to new technologies so that, God willing, we
can witness the increasing progress of the country's education system.
Once again, I would like to congratulate the great community
of educators on Teacher's Day and pray to Almighty God for their increasing
success in this important responsibility.
ICT Minister Seyed Sattar Hashemi”
