The Minister of Information and Communications Technology Seyed Sattar Hashemi has said that smart management of ICT infrastructure contributed to sustained supply and distribution of basic goods during the Israeli-US aggression of Iran.
Hashemi made the remarks in a meeting with the Minister of Agricultural
Jihad Gholamreza Nouri in which he expressed satisfaction over performance of
the Ministry of Agricultural Jihad under the strained war conditions.
“Food security is one of the important pillars of the
country's self-sufficiency and economic independence. The abundance of basic
goods, market calmness, and price stability prove a existence of a forward-looking
approach to managing people's essential food items,” he stated.
Saying that coherence in the supply of basic goods was
clearly evident during the most challenging times of the war throughout the
country, the ICT minister added: “The supply and distribution network maintained
its operation without interruption despite communications restrictions.”
“It shows that the ICT infrastructure in the Ministry of
Agricultural Jihad has been intelligently designed and managed,” Hashemi said.
He also referred to the policies of the government of President
Masoud Pezeshkian in the development of electronic infrastructure and smart
industries.
“The electronic issuance of agricultural sector licenses and
the implementation of smart plans in this area have accelerated over the past
two years and facilitated the country’s march to development.”

In the meeting, Nouri stressed the development of ICT
infrastructure in the Ministry of Agricultural Jihad.
“The use of modern communications technologies provides the
possibility of analyzing weather conditions, controlling the distribution
network of basic goods, managing seed production, optimizing irrigation, and
improving maintenance and storage processes.”
“These sectors are managed using smart infrastructure,” the
minister added.
He also reiterated the role of coordinated supply chain, and
said: "Integration and synergy of components of the supply chain of
essential goods led to a calm and stable period in the market during wartime.”
“This process will continue with the cooperation between the government
and the private sector,” Nouri said.
