Iran’s Minister of Information and Communication Technology Seyed Sattar Hashemi inaugurated 455 projects in Fars Province amounting to an investment of dollars 72 million on Saturday.
They were put into operation in a
ceremony at the conclusion of the minister’s provincial visit during which he
met with local officials as well as directors of ICT companies and visited the infrastructure projects.
Hashemi launched the projects under the government's
communication and digital infrastructure development plans which included rural
sectors, fiber optics, national infrastructure and the development of new
generations of mobile phone networks.
They were implemented with the objective of
developing communication justice, increasing the quality of services, and
expanding the access of the people of Fars Province to high-speed internet, and
are considered a significant step towards achieving the goals of the government
to develop the country's digital economy.
