Dr. Mahmoud Vaezi, the Minister for Communication and Information Technology has met and negotiated with the Russian Energy Minister.
According to the Public Relation center of the ICT, Dr. Mahmoud Vaezi, the Iranian Chairman of the Iran-Russia Joint Economic Commission has arrived in Russia, leading a delegation of public and private officials, to attend the 12th session of the Iran-Russia’s Joint Economic Commission. Upon arrival, he was met by Alexander Novak, the Russian Minister for Energy, who also acts as the Russian Chairman for the Joint Economic Commission.
In this meeting, in presence of high ranking officials from both parties, the sides discussed areas for bilateral economic and commercial cooperation, also studying the opportunities for further development of existing cooperation.
Dr. Vaezi, emphasized on the necessity of utilizing the vast capacities existing in these two nations, adding that: “The firm determination of the Presidents of these two countries in addressing existing problems and advancing bilateral cooperation is quite commendable.”
Referring to the outcomes of the Energy Minister’s recent trip to Iran and the related negotiations with Iranian officials, he included: “We should follow up those agreements to their eventual implementation and the desired outcomes.”
Novak, the Russian Energy Minister, also emphasized on the firm decision of the Russian government for bilateral cooperation development, stating that: “My country has put the highest priority of its foreign policy on cooperating with Iran; something which is constantly being stressed on by Russian Officials at the highest level of the government.”
During the three day sessions of the Joint Economic Commission, major cooperation areas shall be identified and then put into agreement.
Further meetings with the President’s First Deputy, Head of the Russian Central Bank, Minister for Agriculture and many others, are also on Dr. Vaezi’s agenda for this visit.
