The Iranian Minister of Information and Communication Technology Seyed Sattar Hashemi will inaugurate the deBlock 2025 International Conference: Iran’s First Academic Blockchain Event on Sunday in Tehran, organizers said.
The deBlock International Conference, the first academic
event in blockchain and cryptocurrency in Iran, will be held on June 15-16, 2025.
The Deputy Minister of Policy and Planning for ICT and
Digital Economy Development Ehsan Chitsaz in a media briefing expressed the hope
that the conference would contribute to achieving the goals of the Seventh
Development Plan and 10% economic growth.
The theme of the conference is “The Future of BRICS with
Blockchain” aiming at connecting businesses, governments, and universities to
develop knowledge and solve legal challenges in this field.
BRICS is an intergovernmental organization comprising ten
countries – Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Egypt, Ethiopia,
Indonesia, Iran and the United Arab Emirates.
According to the organizers, some 107 papers were sent to
the secretariat, 15-20 percent of which are from foreign authors, and 20 works will
be selected as top papers.
Top paper awards are First Place: 1.5 Ethereum, Second
Place: 0.75 Ethereum, and Third to Fifth Places: 0.25 Ethereum.
