Communication Minister Inaugurates Ardabil Projects
Communication projects of Ardabil Province were inaugurated today with a finance of 94 Billion Rials, in presence of the Minister of Communication and Information Technology, Provincial Governor, and local managers. Through these beginnings, the required infrastructure has been provided for implementation of e-governance in the province.

According to Public Relations Center of ICT, Dr. Vaezi addressed the administrative council’s session of Ardabil Province, referring to the preparation of e-governance infrastructures in the province and said: “Compared to two years ago, the Province of Ardabil has undergone an incredible transformation. The facilities for implementation of e-government have become available, and since the necessary infrastructures are already in place, cooperation of various bodies and organizations are needed in order to offer their services in this network, so that people may enjoy the benefits.”

The Communication Minister emphasized on coordination with responsible bodies to provide mobile phone coverage in the main roads of the province, stating that: “Last year, 178 villages and rural areas became connected to high-speed internet which, according to the development plan, another 718 villages are on the agenda for this year.”

In continuation, Vaezi proposed the establishment of a joint commission to follow up the ratifications of the provincial visits and the implementation of e-governance and e-business, saying: “As the person in charge of Joint Economic Commissions of Iran with Turkey, Azerbaijan, United Arab Emirates, and a few others, I promise that I will do whatever necessary to facilitate bilateral relations.”

The Communication Minister commented positively regarding government’s investment volume in Ardabil Province and said: “Last year, the state investment amounted to 1.235 Billion Rials, and by the end of this year, with the help of both the public and the private sector, we intend to invest another 1.585 Billion Rials in the province.”

Vaezi voiced that from the two years that have passed since the commencement of the new government, the state has been true to its promises for revival of ethics, saving the economy, and developing relations with the world; and all its efforts have paid off with good results and achievements in all areas, and added that: “Protecting ethical and social values and national unity are principles of the government. At the same time, the government does not want to busy itself with past problems, and its outlook is toward the future.”

He mentioned the success and achievements of the 11th government in the foreign policy area, saying: “The relations of Iran with other countries, especially neighboring nations, were not the correct and proper approach during the previous government. While, considering the geopolitical situation of Iran, it should have been like a constructive player in the region.”

The ICT Minister reminded that: “In the very first step, through connecting with neighboring countries and Islamic nations we began the process of strengthening our ties with regional states.”

The Communication Minister reported of Iran’s resourcefulness in regard to fighting terrorism, adding that: “Without Iran’s help, fighting ISIS and extremism in the region is simply not possible.”

In his analysis of the nuclear negotiations of the past two years, Vaezi stated that: “With this victory, Iran’s Image has achieved the rightful place worthy of our holy system and our great people, and the blind propaganda of the Zionist regime can no longer mar the bright face of the Islamic Republic of Iran in trying uselessly to spread the idea of Iran-phobia and Shia-phobia.”

Emphasizing that a major thing has been achieved, Vaezi stated that: “In our meetings with the six great powers of the world, we were successful in convincing them to lift their oppressive sanctions while continuing our nuclear activities.”

Vaezi pointed out the adoption of UN Security Council’s resolution in favor of Iran, totally against previous trends, and said: “There is no precedence in history when a nation under the Chapter VII of the United Nations Charter has been able to make such a smart and decisive move without having to change its system or administration, but the I. R. of Iran was able to establish its nuclear position while moving beyond these threats, unscathed and unharmed.”

He stressed on the importance of safeguarding and defending this great achievement, adding: “We are truly glad that today we are witnessing the crumbling of the sanctions’ pillars.”

The ICT Minister reported of the preparedness of foreign countries to visit Iran with the objective of investment, saying: “Many of these European trade delegations are waiting their turn to overtake each other in entering Iran and promise any cooperation in improving relations with Iran.”

Maintaining that this victory belongs to all Iranians and should not be diminished by attaching it to a certain group or faction, Vaezi asserted that: “This victory is the product of Iranian resistance which was obtained through the masterful guidance of our beloved Supreme Leader and the wisdom of the 11th government.”

It should be stated that the above mentioned communication projects of Ardabil Province include development of the data operators access bandwidths with a capacity of 4.6 Gbps, developing the transfer capacity of the province, establishing the province’s national communications support route, establishing the protection paths of Ardabil to Qazvin centers with a capacity of 1 Gbps, installing 51 km of optic-fiber routes between Aslandooz and Parsabad, all of which were inaugurated by the ICT Minister.
