The Minister of Communication and Information Technology, on his trip to Markazi Province, visited the Supreme Leader’s representative in the province, Ayatollah Dorri Najafabadi.
The ICT’s PR department reports that, Ayatollah Dorri Najafabadi, Arak City’s Friday Prayers’ Imam, expressed that: “The present-day situation of our country requires vigilance and alertness on behalf of our government and our people; and mistakes will not be recoverable in such conditions.”
He said: “Success of the government is the success of the system and all the country must strive for success of the system.”
Dorri Najafabadi mentioned that the communication and telecommunication sector can be the driving influence of development and progress in our country, and said: “The establishment of e-Government is a turning point for this sector.”
He added: “Status of our communication network’s security is one of the most important topics of the ICT sector in Iran, and we should increase our efforts to guarantee its safety.”
Arak’s Friday Prayer Imam continued: “Our nation can reach very high positions in the fields of science and technology through highly capable young experts in ICT sector.”
In the continuation of this meeting, the ICT Minister expressed that: “Nowadays, ICT must act as the infrastructure for development of any country, to facilitate the strengthening of other sectors of the society and the business arena.”
He added: “In the government of ‘wisdom and hope’, and based on these factors, our efforts have been focused on increasing the Bandwidth of the country.”
The ICT Minister underlined the increasing bandwidth of Markazi Province, associating it with supporting the growth and development of industry and improvement of the economy in the province, and said: “At the moment, the bandwidth of the province has increased from 5 GB/s to 22 GB/s.”
Referring to the actions of the government for supporting rural areas and creating facilities in under-privileged regions, he included that: “In this direction, the Post Bank has managed to help the people of these regions in developing their manufacturing activities, by providing micro-banking and offering credits and loans to the villagers.”
Stressing that we are going to witness a major development in the Postal services sector in our country, Vaezi said: “Through a methodical programming, it is possible to present modern postal services to Iranian families; we should increase our utilization of the existing capacities of this sector.”
The ICT Minister counted assisting and supporting various aspects of research and study in this sector as one of the concerns of the government, by concluding that: “In this direction, by supporting small industries and the private sector we can create the necessary environment for youth employment.”
