Dr. Vaezi and Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs: Ready to Develop Tehran-Baku Relations
The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Republic in a meeting with the Iranian Minister of Communication and Information Technologies, stated that the bilateral relations of two countries is flourishing on a daily basis, saying: “The context is ready to further develop Tehran-Baku relations.”

The ICT’s PR department reports that Dr. Mahmoud Vaezi, in his meeting with the Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Khalaf Khalafov, this Tuesday afternoon, stressed on the importance of making a joint effort to implement the Iran-Azerbaijan agreements and make them operational.

The ICT Minister expressed his satisfaction over the positive trend of developing relations between both parties, counting the political determination of Iran and Azerbaijan Presidents as an important factor in strengthening bilateral relations, and further stressed on progressing cooperation in all fields and sectors.

He added: “We have no restrictions for increasing our cooperation with the Republic of Azerbaijan, and we intend to further develop these collaborations in all areas.”

In the continuation of the meeting, Vaezi underscored the importance of the united fight against extremism and terrorism in the region, and said: “Solidity and cooperation of two countries in different fields will have a positive impact on security and stability of the region.”

Later on, Khalaf Khalafov, the Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, while expressing gratitude over the holding of Caspian Sea Neighbors Representative Summit in Tehran, referred to the regular Summit of Caspian Sea Five States in 2016, saying: “Iran and Azerbaijan are two major nations neighboring this vast sea, and this summit is a valuable opportunity for reviewing cooperation development between two countries.”

He expressed hopefulness that two parties will be able to develop their joint activities in economic fields, especially regarding energy transit, and within the framework of Joint Economic Commission’s agreements, and also make the necessary coordination for holding the Joint Commission’s Session in Tehran.
