The Minister of ICT is leaving Tehran for Geneva to WSIS
The Minister of Communications and Information Technology is taking part in the World Summit on the Information Society 2022 (WSIS) under the theme of “ICTs for Well-Being, Inclusion, and Resilience”.
The Center for the Public Relations and Information of the Ministry has announced that on (Monday, 9 Khordad, 1401), Issa Zarepour, Minister of ICT, will leave Tehran for Geneva, the headquarters of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) to attend the 2022 World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS).
 
World Information Society Summit 2022 (WSIS), under the theme of ICTs for Well-Being, Inclusion, and Resilience, will be held physically and virtually from 24 Esfand to 13 Khordad (15 march- 3 June).
 
This year's summit is aimed at regulating public access to information networks and establishing basic rules for integrating the goals of the information society and completing international protocols.
 
The Minister will address the High-Level Panel on 10 Khordad 1401 and will also participate in the ministerial roundtable.
 
On the sidelines, Zarehpour will visit the ITU Secretary-General Halin Zhao and will negotiate with ministers and deputy ministers from Japan, Lithuania, India, Kazakhstan, Bangladesh, Romania, and Nigeria, about the development of the relations in the field of communication and information technology and exchange views and experiences.
